Copy vm files from one datastore to another in different vcenters

Hi,

I need to copy virtual machine files from one datastore to another datastore where both datastores are in different vcenters and geographies ( no big network latency).

Cant backup and restore via backup solution.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Total vm size will be 2 tb.

Please advice.

Wouldn't it be easier to export the VM as an OVA/OVF, and import that on the other side?
