Does the connect work when you add a User and Password ?

And try adding the -Verbose parameter, that could give a few more pointers of what goes wrong.

You won't believe me, but all of a sudden it started working when i ran the verbose option.  Then when I ran it regularly it worked.

I'm having this problem as well... but nothing is getting me beyond it.  I have tired Verbose and supplying username and pw.

I'm afraid to suggest this, but did you try rebooting your PC ?

LOL.... no prob.  Yes, that was the first thing I did.  Oddly enough, I dont have this problem with using VESI Script editor... its only within the default VMware PS window.

Are you running this on a 64-bit platform ?

If yes, did you try with the 32-bit PowerCLI window ?
