Changing multi-path policy to fixed and nominating a preferred HBA

We are planning on performing some maintenance on our fibre channel SAN switches.  To us it makes sense to failover the traffic to the FC switch that will remain up.  I am looking for a script that will change the multipathing policy to fixed and set the preferred path to a nominated HBA.  Alternately would a script to disable the paths be another option to consider?

I'm not sure which would be better.

We've got a shed load of LUNS which means it's impractical to do this manually.  Powercli seems like sensible tool to automate this.  Can anyone offer some help?

Instead of running the script for a set of defined LUNs, you could execute the script for all LUNs.
