Change/Edit VM settings attibutes.

Hello,

I try to make a change of an advanced VM setings attribute. I am running a powercli command that can make the change with the VM up and running.

Not sure that the change can take effect instantenously or ONLY after I reboot the VM.

Thanks,

Adila100

In most cases the VM needs to be powered off.
It would help if you say which advanced setting you are changing.

Hello Luc,

here would be one of them:

Get-VM "VM Name" | New-AdvancedSetting -Name isolation.tools.copy.disable -Value true

or

Get-VM "VM Name" | Get-AdvancedSetting -Name isolation.tools.dnd.disable | Set-AdvancedSetting -Value true.

Other one:

Get-VM  "VM Name" | New-AdvancedSetting -Name 'log.keepOld' -value '10'

Thank you,

Adrian100
