Cannot connect to VC server

Hi,

I've just installed the VI Toolkit and I'm playing with running commands when connected to the ESX server. I now want to do the same on the Virtual Center server but when I run the command: Get-VC <vc server> -user <username> -password <password>, I get the following

Connect-VIServer : Failed to connect to the VI server at: with user: <username>

At line:1 char:16 + connect-viserver <<<<

The user account I'm using does have access to the VC server and there is connectivity from the machine am running the command on to the VC server.

Any clues as to what's wrong?

thanks in advance!

Was trying to avoid doing so, but I've restarted the services on the VC server and it's working now.

Same problem but service restarts and/or reboots have not cleared issue.

I even get the same error when logged into the VC Server itself and trying to connect to '.' or 'localhost'.

Any help is appreciated.

Do you get any warning about certificate problems? Any other output?

Also, do you use a proxy? Proxy can be configured using the Get-VIToolkitConfiguration cmdlet.
