Hi Guys,

Hoping someone here can help,

I looking to generate an availability report from the hosts in a datacenter, Basically any non planned outage on the ESX hosts within a datacetner needs to be calculated into a 99.99% style.

There used to be an option in ESXi 5.0  Get-Log ESXHOST -key vmksummary, but this seems deprecated now,

Does or is anyone already doing this and how are they tracking this information.

Have a look at KB1019238, it lists the log(s) you can use to determine availability.

The hostd log can be collected with the Get-Log cmdlet, and according to the above KB, can be used to determine ESXi node stop/start.
