I regularly use sfvalarms to backup our environments VC alarms and their configurations. Its a great utility but so far I have not found a clear/clean way of automating the export of ALL alarms and details with PowerCLI so that they can be restored in their entirety. Any recommendations on how to accomplish this? I've read several different threads on how to export with PowerCLI but its not clear on which scripts to use for importing all of the exported alarms into another vC. The VMware script is a migration script and the other code or scripts i've seen are for individual alarm exports and imports.
What I would like to do is schedule the export to a file name and prove that that the export can be re-imported for restore. Your help is appreciated.
