Add to Inventory Issue in vSphere 5 (vmtx file created in vSphere 4.1)

Hi -

I copied a Win2K8 template folder I got from our 4.1 environment over to a vSphere 5.0 host.  When I try to add the .vmtx file to inventory using the vi client this error pops up:  "This operation is not supported on the object".  I was able to add this template over to an ESX4.1 host without issues before.

Do I need to convert this to vSphere 5 format?

I just had the same problem. I was able to get around it by converting the template back to a VM and then importing.
