Add Extent to VMFS-Volume

Hi

I want to ask if its possible to add an extent to a vmfs-volume using PowerCLI? Im running 5.1 Update 1 (PowerCLI and Hosts + vCenter)

Hello, GoingCrazy-

It seems as though it may be possible.  There is a method of the HostStorageSystem managed object, AttachVmfsExtent().  The method takes parameters for vmfsPath to extend and the HostScsiDiskPartition that is to be the new extent.

I have not seen any examples of using this method, though.  Another suggestion would be to give Onyx a shot, and see what info you get there.

I solved it using the vmkfstools (Perl CLI). This works for me.
