vcpa not established between host and Controllers - authentication problem detected in log

Hi ,

Running 6.2(1)

No channel formed on TCP 1234 (checked on each host) - and checking on vSphere Web Client against Channel Communication health for all hosts it shows all "down" or "unknown" state - so clearly there's a comms issue between NSX Controllers and the Hosts.

cat /var/log/netcpa.log reveils the following  issue ;

2016-05-31T08:26:40.161Z error netcpa[390C8B70] [Originator@6876 sub=Default] vmci authentication failed, closing fd 7

restarting the netcap is no solution (tried various times) - seems like the SSL cert somehow got corrupted - issue however is seen on all 4 compute hosts -

No KB match found on this issue - any other suggestions other than to reinstall ?

Remediation was to follow VMware NSX vSphere 61 Documentation Center but it'd be good to understand what the trigger might have been -

Kind regards
