Hello,
Kindly advise if we have two vCenter instances with Embedded Linked Mode configuration. (each vcenter in a different site)
We are planning to deploy NSX 6.4.1 on top of them on site one will have a primary NSX manager and on site 2 will have secondary one.
is it supported ?
Thanks,
Dear Hassan,
Starting from 6.5 U2 Embedded PSC ELM is supported and same applies for 6.7 architecture as well. Also we could migrate from External to Embedded PSC in 6.7 with ELM support.

According to VMWare's documentation, that is supported. VMware Product Interoperability Matrices
If it's a new install, I would personally install 6.4.2, but it's all about what your entire environment supports.
Hi Dear,
Helpful link, but i am still finding a document or article which they mention that NSX 6.4.2 per example supported with Embedded Linked mode.
if exist i appreciate your help.
I know when VMware mention that NSX 6.4.2 supported with vsphere 6.7 and also recommended, so supported with all features. but i need this message if exist.
Hi HassanAlKak88,
Enhanced Linked Mode is not a prerequisite or requirement for cross-vCenter NSX (Cross-vCenter NSX and Enhanced Linked Mode ).
For example, you can have two or more separate vCenter environment, not configured in ELM, with the corresponding NSX Manager installed (remember that the relationship between NSX and vCenter is 1:1) elect one of them NSX Manager to the primary role, then you can connect the others as secondary. After the NSXs Manager are connected you can create universal NSX components (ex. switches and routers) from the primary NSX Manager and those are viewable from the secondary NSX Manager as well.
If you have ELM configured you can manage the whole environment vCenter and NSX from a single pane of glass.
Said that, what important is that vCenter and NSX (relationship 1:1) in configuration matrix are supported each others; and that they are of the same version.
More info about Cross-vCenter installation can be found here (https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-NSX-for-vSphere/6.4/nsx_64_cross_vc_install.pdf )
Best Regards
