vIDM vs LDAP configuration on NSX-T 3.0

Hi,

In our environment we regularly have issues with our vIDM appliance so we are thinking to configure LDAP authentication on our NSX-T managers and remove the vIDM.

Now that NSX-T (3.0 and above) can use LDAP for Active Directory authentication is there still benefits to use a vIDM appliance? I did some research and I didn't found any reason to still keep a vIDM.

Thanks.

vIDM gives you more flexibility than the integrated LDAP, especially if you have a complicated/multiple LDAPs. If your LDAP infrastructure is simple, I'd just use the native integration for simplicity.
