-edge can be found on Tier 0 and tier 1

-logical switches has port groups on the VDS  and vds has uplink which connected to teps of each host

- edge has teps too

You can imagine a VM connected to a segment then, this segment can be connected to either T1 or T0

If it's connected let say T1, then this T1 can be connected to T0 normally or to be attached just to an Edge cluster

Once you create a  T0 or T1 now there's a DR instance created [Distributed router] think ok it across hosts [The local VIB]

Once Attached to an Edge cluster now you have your SR, which is the service router for North-South traffic

Regarding the TEP; yes hosts and Edges have TEP [Tunnel Endpoint] that is used for traffic encap because if you think about datapaths when an SR0 speaks to DR actually this is going from Edge VM to the host so both will need a TEP

I would recommend you to practice some labs on HOL AFTER the labs you may read this https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-NSX-Documents/NSX-T-and-ECMP/ta-p/2840738

Please don't hesitate to ask or DM again
