Hi,

I consider that there is no capability to shape traffic for vNics in NSX-v features.

In vSphere, there is traffic shaping features for vSS/vDS.

Tomizo is correct, NSX does not have any rate limiting functions, because vSphere already does.

You can do a few things;

- Rate limit or prioritise on a global scale with Network I/O Control: VMware vSphere 6.5 Documentation Library

- Create a per VM bandwidth allocation: VMware vSphere 6.5 Documentation Library

Hi,

Logical switch is recognized as distributed portgroup in vSphere environment (vCenter and ESXi).

Thus, if you want to shape traffic for VMs connecting this portgroup, I think you can shape traffic by normal operations for distributed portgroup (described by smitmartijn).
