Where to apply firewall settings?

Hello, I preparing installation of NSX and vCloud Director and want to check firewall open ports requirement defined here: Ports and Protocols Required by NSX

I not understand where I must apply this settings? In ESXi security profile unable to create own rule and it not contains some port-rules. For example for ports 2878, 2888, 3888.

Hi Sam,

you do not need to apply or change any firewall rules on the ESXi hosts. This is done automatically when the NSX software is installed.

The documentation you are referring to is important only when you have custom firewall software or hardware in between the VMware infrastructure components that might block any network traffic. Then you need to make sure that they pass all the necessary traffic documented there.
