What will happen, if the guestintrospection vm will fail on a host

Hi community,

I have a littele question.

I have an vdi infrastructure working with floating pools. I have running nsx with guest introspection using the svm architecture.

What wuill happen, if a svm fails on one host, an someone new gets a Desktop on this host?

Is this Desktop complete isolated or gets he the default rules and can work in this borders?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Christian,

what are you using guest introspection for? agentless AV? what redirection rules have you in place on service composer?

greets!

Hallo Joe,

I'm using it for microsegmentation. I have directory ous and give them rules over the source policies of the service composer.

So I don't want to use the log scrub mechanism ... I take the agent and svm combination to bring the right rules to the right vm.

Therefore I want to know, what will happen if the agent of the vm can't communicate with the svm on the host, because it fails. So the nsx manager don't gets the information, which user has connected to the actual vm.
