What's the relationship between NSX vswitch and VSS/VDS?

Hi All

When I read the NSX doc, it only tells how to create the logical switch, and logical ports, but I can not understand what the unities exist in the vcenter view. Is the logical switch correspond to a VSS or VDS, and the logical port is a port group on it?

Because I have no NSX to verify this, so I'm asking this question.

Thanks

"Logical switch" is a special dvPortgroup, as far as VDS concerned. If your Logical Switch spans multiple VDS, then you'll have one dvPg in each VDS, associated with that one Logical Switch.

You can play around with NSX in Hands-On Labs (labs.hol.vmware.com).

Hope this helps.
