Hi All,
could someone suggest what advantage we will get configuring multiple vteps per esxi host .
this is for the VXLAN configuration .
thnaks in advance.
Multi Vtep is preferred if we need to send VXLAN traffic over multiple uplinks to ensure physical NIC's are effectively used for network traffic and from NSX perspective it will provision a VTEP vmkernel interface for every active uplink . For Uplink Load balancing not all methods are supported while using Multi-Vtep . Route Based on Originating port and Source MAC is the only supported for Multi-VTEP config. If you are planning to change existing NSX Prepared environment to Multi-VTEP setup you may please follow VMware Knowledge Base .For existing portgroups teaming policy will not get changed so you have to manually change it from GUI or via API call.

Multiple VTEP configuration provides increased throughput because if single VTEP per ESX host is used and Lacp not configured, only single Uplink would be used. with Multiple VTEPs every Uplink port is assigned one VTEP, and VM traffic for different Logical switches are distributed across multiple Uplinks concurrently.
For detailed description and configuration of multiple VTEPs this link may be helpful:

If we have more than one physical link that we would like to use for VXLAN traffic and the upstream switches do not support LACP (or they are not configured). In that case the use of multiple VTEPs allows to balance the traffic between physical link’s.
Thanks.
Thanks.
currently we have LACP configured and from the above table which Sree mentioned multiple vteps are not supported .
