VTEP IP pool for NSX-T and NSX-V

Hi,

We have NSX-V  using DHCP with dedicated VTEP pool subnet and ample of free ip's in it.. We are planning to migrate to NSX-T, so can we use the same VTEP pool.

Thanks,

Surya

As long as IP allocation is done correctly and not duplicated, there shouldn't be any issues with using the same pool.

NSX-T will keep track of TEP IP's associated with nodes, so knows where to send traffic.  You may see some performance degradation if you have a lot of chatter on the VLAN.

Agreed. You can use the same subnet as long as you keep track of IPs and do not have duplicates.
