To perform a mifration ftom NSX-V to NSX-T with vCloud director, you can use the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director 1.0 (downlodable from myvmware)
In the user guide I see the compatibility matrix:
VMware Cloud Director | VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere | VMware NSX-T Data Center |
10.1.0 | 6.4.4 6.4.5 6.4.6 | 2.5.1 |
I need to migrate to NSX-T 3.0.
is it possible to have info on when the migration tool will support migration to NSX-T 3.0 ?
Did you see you can already download VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director 1.1
Which supports VCD 10.1.2 <-> NSX-T 3.0.1 / vSphere 7.0
I participated on some vmworld sessions regarding this topic.
The support you talk about should come together with vCD 10.2, and it should be "soon".
As usually there were disclaimers and some ambiguity regarding exact timelines.
My personal feel is like it will appear in about 1-2 months
The biggest question really is how long do you want to wait after GA in order to flesh out all the usual bugs
