How to start the nsx-message-bus service ?
NSX CLI (Manager, Policy, Controller 3.0.1.0.0.16404476). Press ? for command list or enter: help
XXXX> get service nsx-message-bus
Service name: nsx-message-bus
Service state: stopped
XXXX> start service nsx-message-bus
XXXX> get service nsx-message-bus
Service name: nsx-message-bus
Service state: stopped
You shouldn't need to manually start the service. There is a monitor that tracks the state and restarts the service if necessary.
Is this a fresh install? Please give us some more information about your environment.
This is VCF on VxRail. The vROPS is configured for service monitoring and it is keep sending notification for this service as it is down. I understand the following services are stopped by default and we managed to start it manually except nsx-message-bus service.
1) SNMP
2) migration-coordinator
3) liagent
4) nsx-message-bus
Unless you need these services you shouldn't turn them on. You should be able to configure vROPS to not report on the unused services.
We want this service to be enabled as we do not want to work on vROPS. Please let us know how could we start the service.
I do not think you can start it.
nsx-message-bus NSX Message Bus service (deprecated since NSX 3.0.0)
It also does not have a startup-file anymore when taking a peak on the shell.
