Hello,

The error mentioned in title is when trying to configure backup for NSX-V manager with SFTP server (x.x.x.x).

Network team confirmed that the traffic is allowed.

SFTP server team confirmed that the server is working properly, and the access is allowed using the same username, password and directory.

My point of view, we still have an issue at network level. so my request is how can we telnet from NSX manager to the SFTP server ? or what are the ways to troubleshoot similar issues ?

You should test the SFTP from another machine in same subnet of NSX Manager to isolate if there is a potential configuration/network issue. Also do check VMware Knowledge Base

We already tested it and it was working fine for any normal machine on the same network.

Regarding the mentioned KB, do you have any idea where we have to use the ciphers which are supported for SFTP backup in NSX 6.3.x through 6.3.4 ?

On NSX manager or SFTP server ?
