Trouble pinging physical machine/Vmnet adapter

I have installed Cisco vWLC in my vmware workstation, I am able to ping the WLC from physical machine but not able to ping the physical machine from WLC(vm). can't even ping vmnet2(attached to the WLC)

Firewall on the physical machine?

Hi Shashank,

Firewall in physical machine is disabled by Guardian Antivirus.

once uninstalled the Guardian Antivirus, and disabled the windows firewall manually, but no luck

What network type is the vm set to?

right now it's host only(vmnet2) --> two network adapters attached to the vm, one for WLC Management interface and the other one is for Service interface...

earlier tried with Bridge and Nat, but didn't work

Can you source the ping to see if that changes behaviour ?

and one more thing just wanted to let you know, I am able to ping from Physical machine to VM(WLC) but from WLC(VM) to Physical machine or Vmnet2(gateway) IP not able to ping
