I worked with Cisco ACI and NSX. One thing i love about ACI is, you can overview a "large picture" of your topology at their APIC. That consist EPG, contract, L3 Out, ETC in single picture.
So, why NSX does not have that a feature that can generate topology? its like diagram view at vsphere client, where i can see my host map to any datastore, and VM, thing like that.

The operations side of NSX is mostly focused on vRealize Operations, where there is an abundance of information, including the topology view you're describing. Although that's maybe changing with the new dashboard feature in NSX 6.2.3.
