I'm new to vsphere 7 but have been working with older versions for a while. I have a strange issue and it may be a quick fix.
I have a server that is part of a datastore. For some reason, the VM is having issues pinging certain IPs. The IPs in question are all on the same VLan that the server is on. I checked other VMs on other datastores that are connected to the same VLAN and they ping fine.
I thought it was a weird issue with the datastore so I migrated another VM on the problem datastore to a different one and it was able to ping the other IPs just fine...then the original VM started pinging properly with no action.
Any idea what to look for on this? I even pinged the IPs from the switch stack that connects to the environment. It was able to ping just fine while the VMs on the problem datastore could not. Any advice appreciated.
