Hello - Can someone tell me how does DFW handle stateless protocols such as ICMP or UDP? The rules table or connections table are obviously for TCP based flows and wondering what the behavior is in the case of stateless protocols.
There is Application Level Gateway support for ICMP,meaning that NSX DFW will be able to recognize if it is an ICMP request and also figure out a response type. UDP is based on tracking packets(first packet,single and multiple packets).
