Service Engine fatal error : unable to get controller IP address. restarting

I deployed NSX ALB (AVI) Controller, and I downloaded an ova image for the SE from the controller, I installed that ova for the SE in my esxi ( i don't run vcenter) and now the SE is up but it cannot communicate with the controller.

During the installation/deployment of the SE inside the VMware i didn't get the menu of 'customize template' where I could put the IP address of the AVI controller (auth token ..etc), so is there any other way to insert those settings inside the SE by some commands ?

Any suggestions ?

Hello,

Please refer to Ecosystem Support | Avi Vantage | Knowledge Base (avinetworks.com)

"Also, the deployment of the controller and service engine OVA directly on an ESX host (for a no-access or other cloud-connector types) is NOT supported. They must be deployed using the vCenter UI, as the deployment requires Open Virtualization Format (OVF) properties to be configured."
