Outage during Controller vMotion

We are running 6.2.4 across 5 nodes.

Whenever we preform a vmotion (or DRS event) of a controller, all network traffic pauses for a few seconds and then resumes.

I know this cannot be normal but initial digging through logs does not show anything.  I'm not sure when it started, we started getting reports of random network disconnects only a few weeks ago which is probably due to an increase in the DRS balance settings.

So I don't know if it has always been a problem or not.

Any ideas where to start looking?  Has anyone else seen this?  Its surprising this would affect the data plane.

This sounds quite serious and should in my opinion really be handled by VMware, so my advise would be to create a Service Request. Since we're dealing with the Control Plane here, this should have no impact on the Data Plane (ever).

What does your environment look like (Controllers, DRS anti-affinity rules, ESGs, dynamic/static routing, ECMP, etc.)? Does this problem also occur when you restart one of the Controllers, or when you shut one down?
