OpenShift SDN overlay on top of VMware NSX-T,

Hi,

We are on installation phase of OpenShift version 4.6 on vSphere 7. Containers will run on top of NSX-T 3.1. No NCP plugin integration. So OpenShift run OVN SDN on NSXT segement.

According to Red hat document the OpenShift SDN port might be required to change. both OpenShif and NSX use port 6081.

Why do we need to change to the port number for OpenShift?

Changing ports is required when using NSX-V, as both Openshift SDN and NSX-V user VxLAN with port 4789. NSX-T uses GENEVE with port 6081, so I don't see any need to change anything.

Red Hat's documentation says they use VxLAN with port 4789: Installing a cluster on vSphere with user-provisioned infrastructure and network customizations - In...

Seems they kept old text from NSX-V days in the newer docs with NSX-T.
