One armed mode Load Balancer

We are installing one arm load balancer to load balance 2 web servers and it will be attached to web logical switch.

in one arm mode only one vnic is used for both receiving and sending traffic.

My question is this vnic type will be configured as  internal or uplink.

For One Armed LB it is actually recommended to use an interface type of Uplink for the Edge Services Gateway.

If after the initial deployment you want to change the Default Gateway configuration, this is only supported if the default gateway is on the same network as an Uplink interface.

But in Vmware HOL-SDC-1403 it is configured as uplink.

See page 210 of the HOL-SDC-1403 pdf
