NSX upgrade from 6.2.6 to 6.4

Hello Everyone,

I am doing an NSX upgrade from 6.2.6 to 6.4.

I know that one of the prerequisites for the NSX upgrade from 6.2.6 to 6.4 is to have the bypassVumEnabled flag set to true in vCenter.

In one of the DCs I have three clusters. When going into the /eam/mob under ArrayofManagedObjectReference I see three links. One for each cluster.

Do I change the bypassVumEnabled flag on each cluster so that I can progress with the upgrade?

Thank you

Regards

Hello Arthur,

I'm sure you found the answer in the interim but just in case you didn't - this is set on a per cluster basis so set on each cluster, good guide on it here:

NSX-v Unable to install VIBs: Blame VUM – SneakU

Is VUM available and are you on ESXi 6.0 U3 or later?

This KB indicates the issue is resolved in 6 U3 and thus the workaround is no longer required:
