NSX-V migration options for agentless antivirus.

Hi,

We are currently using free NSX-V 6.4.5 in our VMWare cluster for agentless antivirus integration with TM Deep Security. With NSX-V going end of support in a few years what options do we have to continue using agentless AV?

Deploy the Deep Security Virtual Appliance with NSX Advanced or Enterprise | Deep Security

Thanks

I assume you're referring to NSX for vShield Endpoint, the default free licence that you get when you initially install NSX in vSphere.

Regarding NSX-V end of general support, it has recently been extended for one more year, until 2022/01/16. After that, all customers will have to migrate to NSX-T.

Starting from version 2.4, NSX-T now also supports guest introspection, you can read this article for more information: Guest Introspection Re-introduction for NSX-T 2.4

I'm not sure about integrations with Trend Micro specifically, but I have a feeling that this is what you're looking for: Deploy the appliance (NSX-T)

I'd also recommend you to talk to your account manager regarding licensing, but based on this it doesn't seem like NSX-T has any free licensing options: VMware deployments with the virtual appliance and NSX
