NSX-T microsegmentation on non NSX-T VLAN

Hello,

NSX-T 3.2, fairly basic set up.

I am trying to apply some DFW rules to a VM on a non-NSX-T VLAN. Is this possible? The VM in question is an old Win 08 server that I want to isolate. Apparently, the devs say if the IP changes they will have to reinstall the whole system. I can add the VM/IPs to the NSX rules, but they don't do anything. DFW working fine for NSX backed VLANs.

I thought maybe I could use the physical host agent but that seems to be only for Win16/19.

Thanks!

Yes, it is possible as long the cluster is configured with Security Only preparation.
