NSX-T Firewall design architecture

Hi Experts,

When Deploy the NSX-T just for the DFW?

what component will be used?

Just the NSX-Manager,NSX-Controller?

will the edge be needed to deploy?

If you are only using DFW and your workloads are on VLANs you do not need edges. You do, however, need the unified appliance which consists of NSX-T Manager+Controller. Besides this you have to prepare your host so they get an N-VDS and then you can connect your VMs to VLAN backed segments.

Does the uplink of the N-VDS support the trunk mode?

It does, but please do not mix different questions on the same topic, as this makes it harder for others to find the answers.
