NSX-T 3.1 North-South routing

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to NSX-T, and trying to set up a lab to gain some knowledge about it. I already set up some segments with VMs connected to it, a T1 router and a T0 router. The VMs can reach the uplink interface of the T0 router, but no further (the physical router). What are some troubleshooting steps I could try to do? All suggestions or tips are welcome.

Hmmm, it sounds like it should all just be working then.  Have you created any additional / custom segment profiles that you are using?

No I have not created any segment profiles, just segments.

I think I'm gonna set up new VMs, 1 on each host and in the same segment. It will take some time because my setup is very slow haha.

I saw someone talking about changing IP's which could cause NSX-T problems, so maybe that's it.

Shouldn't really, but yea worth a shot.

Lots of info and all the work we've gone through in this thread should equate to a fully functioning deployment.  Even if it is nested.

Thanks for the help. Something else popped up in my mind, could it be the problem that the edge node is only running on 1 of the hosts?

New VMs work perfectly between each other. Can ping up until the WAN address of the t0 router, cannot reach the physical router. Even though I can ping the physical router from the t0 router..

At least some progress is made!

One edge is fine, so when trace routing in both directions, external to internal and the other way, where does it get stuck ?

Didn't change anything, and suddenly I can ping the physical router from the vms in the nsx-t segment.. No internet connection but that is not really necessary since it's a lab. I'll mark your suggestion in the beginning as the solution. Thanks for all the help!
