Hi to all,
I've a simple question....
Is possible create a Edge Cluster with Edge VM and Edge Bare Metal ?
I can't find any document on this question.
Thanks anyone for any info
I found this in the NSX-T Data Center 2.3 Release Notes.
NSX-T Reference Design Guide 3-0 also has a reference to this:
"NSX-T 2.3 introduced the support for heterogeneous Edge nodes which facilitates easy migration from Edge node VM to bare metal Edge node without reconfiguring the logical routers on bare metal Edge nodes."
That is not supported. You can replace all the VM Edge Nodes with Baremetal nodes if required.
@Sreecthanks for your answer....
Then i can have only one type of Edge in Edge cluster, vm or baremetal, right ?
In Edge in Cluster, the Edge must have the same size or not ?
Thanks again.

@CyberNils thank a lot for your info...what you wrote, makes @Sreec 's answer wrong or not ...
@Sreec do you have any documentation about what you wrote.
Or Edge VM and Bare Metal can coexist in the same cluster, only for migration purposes (as written in the nsx-t 3.0 design guide), but it is not possible to connect a T0 to an Edge VM and an Edge Bare Metal at the same time?
Thanks a lot.
Here are the links and images of what @CyberNils wrote just to facilitate research in the future:

Yes, for migration purposes. For eg if we have reached the limitations on a specific Edge (Form factor). I'm unsure about any other use cases.
