Hi ! Guys
After restore a NSX Manager 6.2 backup file to a configured NSX appliance. The NSX Manager backup schedule stopped to work and the manually backup/restore job would face following error:
". Exception occurred while taking backup. ( Another backup/restore operation is in progress ). "
Seems the old backup/restore session stick the whole NSX Manager backup/restore function. It would not be solved by reboot NSX Manager appliance.
Are there some guy meet the same problem ?
Are there some way to kill the old operation ?
Thanks a lot !
I met the same trouble. Could anyone advice?
We are facing the same issue, were you able to get it resolved?
During a recent "NSX Troubleshooting and Operation" class I was told that, in order to successfully restore the NSX Manager appliance, you have to restore your backup into a brand new NSX Manager, you cannot restore onto the existing one.
Let us know whether this helps...
Adding to the comment...
Documentation states "You can restore a backup only on a freshly deployed NSX Manager appliance" in pre-6.2 versions: NSX 6 Documentation Center
Appears it " might work...but is not officially supported" in 6.2 documentation: VMware NSX 6.2 for vSphere Documentation Center
Thank you for your help, We will try to resolve this by adding a secondary NSX Manager, the issue we face is that we are not able to take a fresh backup to restore into the "Fresh" NSX manager.
