I have done a NSX Host preparation today with NSX 6.4. The network connectivity was interrupted shortly.
It seems to be that this behaviour is only with vSphere 6.5. Has anyone seen it?
hi oergmann
Do you mean the network connectivity to vCenter was interrupted after that host preparation ? Can I ask if you were preparing the cluster where the vCenter VM resides ?
You may have a deny any any in the DFW rules and may be you didn't add the vCenter to the exclusion list.
Please can you give more details dear,
Regards,
It was a "Lost network connectivity on DVPorts" for the ESXi hosts where I have prepared the cluster for NSX.
The management cluster with the vCenter is not enabled for NSX.
That's really interesting. I would like to see the vmkernel logs if it's available. Maybe a log bundle from an ESXi host would be good.
Thanks,
There could be too many reasons behind this. I would suggest you to contact with VMware support.
I have seen this twice thus I have thougt may be someone on the community has had this issue also.
I had similar issue in in older/earlier NSX installation.
A network connectivity disruption when preparing the host for NSX and the host is using certain network adapter (I think it was one of the Intel NIC).
Not sure if that still the case in 6.3 or 6.4
