Hello folks,
This time i come with a quick doubt that i could not find in any VMware document, no NSX-V neither NSX-T. I can see that in both products regarding the Design guides and reference architectures they always mention to use Two different VLANs, and create one of them in one ToR and the remaining one in the second ToR.
I always compare this connectivity to the Management, vMotion, vSAN, etc where usually we have the same VLAN shared between the two ToRs for connectivity.
Could somebody explain me the benefits of having two different VLANs not stretched between the ToRs?
The key aim is to avoid Spanning tree and have a deterministic paths for each traffic/vlan by avoiding single point of failure.
