NSX DFW Exclusion List

I am using NSX 6.3.2 & I was trying to export the list of VMs under the NSX Exclusion list.

There is option to export the VMs under the exclusion list. Whenever i try this option, the outout csv file is blank with the word "Virtual Machine"

Has any one faced this & is there any work around to this.

There is REST API command in which I can get the output, but i want it in excel file.

I've never run into this before, but if I try to reproduce this in my 6.4.0 lab I'm constantly hitting a 1069 web client error. I'll look into this and see if it's a known problem.

I just confirmed this in a colleague's 6.3.5 lab as well - we see the 'Virtual Machine' header, but nothing listed in the exported CSV. I will look into this further.

Yes the same situation. Nothing is listed in the CSV except virtual machine header

As a workaround, you can use the PowerNSX-DFW2Excel or NSX-PowerOps

Both will give you an excel and there is a tab on DFW Exclusion List which lists the VM name and ID under DFW Exclusion List

is this a known bug in the NSX ?

Hi rajeevsrikant - just wanted to let you know that I created a VMware KB article for this issue and have informed our product developers. As soon as that information is public I will post another update.

Looks like this issue won't be fixed, unfortunately. The exclusion list is now included as part of the HTML5 based re-code in 6.4.1 and later releases, so it won't be impacted moving forward. It looks like Bayu's suggestion above is the best way to go.

A public KB on this will be published soon.

Regards,

Mike
