NSX 4.1 Tunnels down

have setup a small lab

esxi v 7.0.3 , nsx 4.1 , 2 edge nodes , 1vm

1 vds hosting all traffic for the lab

what works

- peering with the upstream router

-pings to the segment gw

- pings to the tep ips from the esxi hosts

what doesnt work

- edge/esxi tunnels are down from the gui

- n/s traffic - cant ping the upstream router from the vm

what could i be missing

Looks like you are using the same subnet for host and edge teps?

That's Ok, can be a little more tricky to configure - this article may help.

You also need to test vmkpings without fragmentation and jumbo frames 'vmkping ++netstack=vxlan -s 1572 -d <destinationTEPIP>.
