NSX 3.1 IP Address Pool, set Subnets, add subnets, IP Block, Auto Assign Gateway

I am using an IP Blocks for my TEP IP range, however when I create it, it just has auto assign gateway on or off...  It didn't seem to work as I was unable to ping between my Host TEP and Edge TEP address blocks and routing between the VLANs is definitely working.  I see with IP address pool that you can set the gateway, so I could use that - or bite the bullet and setup DHCP and relay it in, but just wondering how this auto assign works?  If I turn it off, I get no option to assign it myself as far as I can see... My gateway is .254, I use .254 for virtual gateways and .1 for physical gateways to keep them straight in my head.

Thanks

Bill

Hi Bill,

You should either use pools or DHCP for TEP assignment, address blocks can be used for other features, such as containers.
