Move segment to another T1

We are in a Federated environment with our T0s in Active-Active and our T1s in Active-Standby,

In a Planned failover after we make our Standby Global Manager as Active, we will move our T1s to the T0s at the other site to regain network connectivity.

We know want to do something similar but on a smaller scale as we just want to protect 1 segment at a site during a small maintenance window.

So we want to move a segment from a T1 at one site to a T1 at another site. There is nothing special about the segment, and does not hand out DHCP.

We did in a lab, and it seemed to work as traceroute showed the gateway moving from an Edge node at one site to an Edge node at another site. But again this was a lab.

Is this something we can do in Prod with confidence? And be able to move back no issues?

Thank for you any comments.

Same behavior you can expect in Production.

It make sense to see the change in traceroute HOP, from Site-A EN to Site-B EN, since you are now connecting the segment to other site T1.

We did test in PROD and indeed we had the same behavior. Thank you.
