MTU 1600 all over the whole network?

Presentation1 - PowerPoint.jpg

I want to extend an L2 network over two datacenters located on different countries. They are connected trough an international ISP network. I've modified MTU values on my switches at both sides, but do I need my ISP to modify their switches too? because if I do, this solution is only possible for an organization who can connect its datacenters through a private network.

The service provider which provides the connectivity to both DC should also support MTU size of 1600 bytes without fragmentation.
