Is there downtime required when changing the VXLAN Port?

Hello,

We are now at NSX version 6.2.4 and the VXLAN Port is still at 8472 and needs to be updated to 4789.

After looking at this article I can't tell if there is downtime needed or if this is a simple change?

Change VXLAN Port

Also second question what is the best way to make this change if you have a cross vCenter NSX configuration?

Changing the VXLAN port is done in a three phase process, and will not interrupt VXLAN traffic. In a cross-vCenter NSX environment the change will propagate to all NSX Manager appliances and all hosts in the cross-vCenter NSX environment.

Just want to add that it was disruptive (requires downtime) prior NSX 6.2.3 and was only available through REST API.

But starting NSX version 6.2.3, VXLAN port change can now be performed from the UI and non-disruptive as per the NSX doc/upgrade guide and NSX for vSphere API Guide document

Unfortunately I couldn't find what are the three phase processes that makes it possible to change VXLAN in a non-disruptive fashion.
