I have a question about the DFW session time timer.

If the timeout value is exceeded for the TCP settings
Does DFW send RST packets to the source and destination?

Also, do you count timeouts on a session-by-session basis?

Create a Session Timer

Thanks.

Hi.

DFW doenst send RST packets, its up to src/dst hosts. It just tracks session and if session wasnt properly closed or there wasnt keepalives after timeout it removes session from session table. Sessions are counted per flow.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand DFW as follows:
The only way DFW can send RST packets is to reject DFW rules.
There is no other way for DFW to send RST packets to clients and servers.

When taking a test, the system pauses the timer for listening questions until the video has played through fully or you click on the video to stop playback, at which point the question is revealed. We keep track of how much time the test was paused in the browser.
