How to make existing T1 as DR Only.?

Dear Team,

Tier 1 is associated with Edge Cluster which we don’t want. We want it DR only.
how can we make it DR only? What process do we need to follow so that we do not impact the VM traffic?

Hi,

You need to edit T1 and within Edit options you will see Edge Pool Allocation size. Ensure no Edge Cluster is selected and if no Pool Allocation Size is selected then default is set as ROUTING or you can select same from drop down list.

Hi

On a tier-1 gateway, the SR is present only if you select an NSX Edge cluster when creating the tier-1 gateway. Kindly ensure all stateful service like NAT, Load Balancer, Firewalling is removed from T1 Gateway once this is done.

Removing the edge cluster from the T1 Gateway and  select an Edges Pool Allocation Size as Routing. This ensure T1 as DR only gateway.

Impact to VM depends upon Associated stateful services to it. if it doesn't have any they shouldn't be any impact during this DR only Change.
