Does VMware PKS mandatory to use NSX-T?

Hi all,

Does VMware PKS mandatory to use NSX-T? As i try to deploy PKS on our existing VMware cluster which already running using NSX-V. Can i still proceed with NSX-V instead?

Hi @urbansaint_p1,

Sounds like a two part question:

  1. Can you run PKS on vSphere without NSX - yes, see requirement here: vSphere Prerequisites and Resource Requirements
  2. Can you integrate PKS with NSX-V - no, because NSX-V doesn't support containers, that's one of the reasons why NSX-T is taking over NSX-V going forward.
