Distributed Logical Router / NSX Edge: IPv6 routing - When?

Hello all,

latest NSX documentation (e.g. NSX Administration Guide) is lacking information about IPv6 support in several scenarios, .e.g.:

  • Distributed Logical Router / NSX Edge:
    • Does „Distributed Routing“ support e.g. MP-BGP or OSPFv3 (with BFD)? We actually need distributed IPv6 support with IPv6 host routing of local connected hosts. Also there seems no dynamic routing support at all?

  • What about VRF, i.e. Virtual Route Forwarding with IPv4 or IPv6?

Does anyone know if and when will those feature will be supported at all or whether those are mentioned on any roadmap?

Regards

C

End to End integration of IPV6 is still a work in progress .  And you are right MBGP ,OSPV3 ,BFD, dynamic routing is not possible . Edge HA functionality is also not supported . Please go through below links

Add a NAT64 Rule

Re: IPv6 with NSX for vSphere

As far as VRF functionality,  NSX Logical router mimic the same behaviour , will get tenant specific routing domain.
