Cross NSX without Linked Mode

Hello Guys

I have two sites each one independent, in each datacenter I have NSX installed and we require a contingency issue to configure Cross NSX to have VMs protected with SRM and if site A fails we can raise the VMs in Site B.

Both sites are already configured VXLAN, but I need to know if you can configure NSX Primary and Secondary without having vCenter in Linked Mode.

The idea is Site A is my NSX Primary and Site B NSX Secondary.

Is possible this configuration.

Thanks for your help

You do not need vCenter in Linked Mode.

If you are moving from non-Cross-vCenter to Cross-vCenter then I would review the URL below as it describes the requirements to configure Cross-vCenter.

Overview of Cross-vCenter Networking and Security

The biggest issue I think you will find is moving the logical switches to universal logical switches and DLR's to universal DLR's.

Hi,

ELM is not a requirement for CrossVC, but for have a single point of view is suggested.
